Do you know any great Banksy quotes?
I would like some about the government if possible.
I know there are some because I’m certain I have seen some before.

If you are not the owner of a train company then you go and do some painting of some on one instead. It usually comes from that thing at school where you had to attach name tags on the back things, which makes it belong to you. You could actually be the owner of half the city by stamping your graffiti name all over it and soon become known for your urban art.

How is it that Banksy releases statements?
This may be a silly question but…if nobody actually knows who Banksy is, how does he release statements? I know that there are quotes about the graffiti he has done in New Orleans and the graffiti done in the Banksy movie with Shepard Fairey. How could these become known?

I remember reading a street art Banksy quote that said “why would you wanna be famous” and the British artist continues with the quote about being famous. I know that it is a bit obscure but if anyone could find it for me I’d really appreciate it!

Banksy totally ROCKS in my opinion, but I have an English friend from Bristol, who has photos of Banksy’s art but thinks that Banksy is not a street artist but a vandal.
You could say, “Hey, Mr Michael Angelo! What the HELL are you doing, painting that huge artwork on the ceiling of our beautiful church? Go away, you horrible street VANDAL”!

One of the most popular Banksy quotes states that our modern world is hooked on celebrity culture which seems promotes people who have no admirable qualities. It seems that no one is content in themselves if their not famous or on the tv these days, especially prevalent in places like Los Angeles.

I think that is a very insightful observation by the urban artist, Banksy. It does seem that anyone can be made famous now a days. He’s also misquoting Andy Warhol, famous for his art, who in 1979 stated that “In the future, everyone will be famous for 15 minutes” which has become true to an extent. I think Banksy is predicting a reversal of this trend.
