How much for a Banksy original?
One of my good friends discovered a metal triangular road sign some years ago, which is in his garage. He didn’t know who Bansky was, but it is signed by him and shows a parachuting cow on a traditional British upside down triangular road sign. We live in Bristol. How much is it worth and why?

Well, no one knows who Banksy really is, that is part of his thing. He does street art, usually murals and stuff which is typically illegal (vandalism) hence the fact that its on a street sign.
I am sure you could find someone to buy your Banksy original because he has become kind of fadish lately, there are coffee table books and stuff that people sell in places like urban outfitters. However his art is not usually sold because its on the streets and for the most part its not possible cause its on walls etc.
You could try ebay or something as there are many Banksy originals for sale there. He doesn’t create a Banksy original for profit or anything, its graffiti art. Its for people to see, it is street art He is getting pretty famous, so I am sure you could get at least $1000 USD for it.

Some art museums will pay a lot of money for a Banksy original graffiti canvas or Banksy original prints, you’ve just got to find the right one. How did you get hold of an original Banksy print anyway?

Nobody’s been counting them but there is only one picture taken of the ‘no ball games’ Banksy stencil graffiti print as far as I know.

Why is Banksy allowed to get away with graffiti?
Ok, don’t get me wrong, I think Banksy’s work is pretty good, humorous and original. But what I don’t understand is, why is he allowed to get away with graffiti when many others are fined or subjected to community service for the very same thing he does?

I may be wrong but I think that quite a bit of his work has been removed by authorities. Presumably the police have never seen him do this or have chosen to turn a blind eye which is technically not fair, I agree, even though I do like Banksy’s work- it is like someone who puts up an extension to a house- the council would still demand that it be removed if planning permission has not been obtained no matter what the perceived quality of the extension in the eye of the beholder.
I recently read that a Banksy original can be sold for quite a lot of money as all of the work I have seen of his has been sprayed on the side of buildings. Except for Banksy Simpson, I don’t know how that is being sold.

I am looking at the graffiti street artist Banksy who defaces and portrays political issues but I want something original and different, I need a starting point and need some fresh ideas, any help would be highly appreciated, thanks.

Why not instead of just using the normal spry paints try some of these ideas, (there all street art): Sculpture, Architecture, Street advertising and posters. How about street performing : Street musicians, street circus, street dancing, You Could make a Punch and Judy inspired puppet ?
