Chris asks…
How is Banksy art painting made?
How does Banksy make stencils – what type of paint does he use?
Admin answers:
Banksy is a wall Graffiti artist born in 1974 in Bristol. I think he uses stencils, hand drawn or printed on cards or acetate before he cut out by hand and he uses a series of intricate stencils to minimise time and overlapping of color, Banksy art painting is a combination of graffiti writing and street art stencilling techniques.
Because of his secretive nature of works and identity it is uncertain what techniques he uses to generate pictures in his stencils. Though it is assumed Banksy uses computers for some images because of the photocopy nature of much of his work. More info can be found on facebook.
Banksy art painting is often satirical on topics such as politics, ethics and culture.

Betty asks…
Major art class painting: subject ideas?
There is always hope painting idea?
Most people know about the bansky balloon girl.
Basically it’s a girl reaching for a balloon painted on a very ugly dirty wall with the words “there is always hope” on the wall. Well I want to paint this but I don’t want to just copy it.
How can I paint this girl and her balloon and the words “there is always hope” in a unique way that doesn’t involve just putting her on a different wall or surrounding her in graffiti. I want it to still be a powerful image the way it’s painted on that dirty wall saying ‘despite all this bad stuff, there’s still hope’ but I can’t just copy it exactly.
So any ideas would be appreciated to make this Banksy art painting unique and different from the original picture.
Thank you!
Admin answers:
The girl is not reaching for the balloon. She is letting it go. Observe the wind blown hair and the direction the balloon is going. With that perspective, you may wish to choose an alternative Banksy Art Painting illustration.
